Throughout history, women have been keepers and practitioners of botanical knowledge; healers, midwives, wise women and cunning folk who have harnessed the power of herbs and aromatic plants (often secretly) for medicine, ritual and everyday wellbeing for personal use and to share the benefits with their families and communities.
Step into the roots of holistic care and plant wisdom in this immersive workshop which delves into their legacy, exploring the historical use of medicinal plants, remedies and traditions.
There will be an opportunity to engage in hands on exploration of aromatic botanicals, including essential oils and discuss the current interest in herbalism and use of aromatic plants in contemporary healthcare.
Spotlighting seven key aromatic plants, their applications and properties you will have the opportunity to channel your inner wise-woman, or man, to create two herbal products to take home.
Fee: £50 or £90 for two
