Incense has been used for purification, ceremony, devotion and pleasure since ancient times. Today, with 5,000+ years of tradition and aesthetic refinement at its core, the use of incense is experiencing renewed interest and popularity.
Join me at this lovely venue, while the SLBI renovate their HQ, for an afternoon exploring this aromatic practice. This is a creative, practical workshop focusing on using premium fragrant materials such as resins, fruits, flowers, herbs, seeds, spices, powders and essential oils; selected for their historic, therapeutic, fragrant and magical resonance.
You will be introduced to a variety of plant botanicals and essential oils, via smell and touch. We will explore their history and uses and you will learn how to select and combine them to create your own unique loose incense blend to take home. Additional tips, recipes and advice also provided throughout the session.
Fee: £40/£35*
Fee includes workshop notes, all materials, equipment and you bespoke incense blend to take home.
